The technological tools to allow people to work, shop, and socialize online existed long before COVID-19, yet quarantine rules across the world have forced a rapid adoption of such practices years ahead of schedule.
In the UK, remote work opportunities have allowed many to keep working despite lockdown measures, e-commerce channels have allowed businesses to continue selling, while digital solutions could offer a path to a new normality.
But what will be the long-term impact on brick-and-mortar retail? Will first-time e-shoppers continue to buy online? And what impact will this have on how companies market and spend on advertising? This digital roundtable hopes to examine these issues, as well as discuss the longer-term impacts on remote work and more.
