Khaled Al-Mushaileh is a downstream petroleum expert and independent consultant. He is a trained engineer with a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Akron, Ohio. He is an accomplished senior executive with over 36 years of experience in oil and gas and track record of successful strategic and tactical leadership within the petroleum industry. He is the former vice president for business development and joint venture projects at Kuwait Petroleum International (KPI). During his six-year stint at KPI as vice president, he also held the positions of vice president-Europe and vice president-strategy and finance. He has also held many board positions at various local and international oil companies, such as KNPC, KPPC, NSRP, OKQ8, the RAM refinery, DIRPIC, and more.
Ahmed Al Jahdhami's career in the oil and gas industry began over 20 years ago in the field of Mechanical Engineering. He now serves as the CEO Downstream at OQ. His previous roles include CEO of Oman Power and Water Procurement Company, in addition to other leadership roles at the Public Authority for Electricity and Water, and Oman's former Ministry of National Economy. Al Jahdhami holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nottingham, UK.
Talal Al Awfi joined Oman Oil Company as the Group Chief Executive- Commercial in February 2019 overseeing all commercial activities of Oman Oil Company and ORPIC group.
Previously Chief Executive Officer of Oman Trading International (OTI), the joint venture company between Oman Oil Company and Oman State General Reserve Fund. He has over 20 years' experience in oil, gas and petrochemical marketing and trading. He has held several key positions in both the government and private sectors, including Directorship of the Marketing Department at the Ministry of Oil and Gas. During his tenure, he helped set up several key companies and activities including Oman Shipping Company and Oman's third LNG Train, Qalhat. He then joined Oman Oil Company, the investment arm of the Government in the energy sector where he initially held a series of Project Management positions, thereafter, initiating and helping set up Oman Trading International in 2005, now a recognised and respected energy trading company in the region.
Mr Al Awfi holds a BSc (Hons) in Business and Finance, in addition to a Master's Degree in Marketing (MSc) from Manchester UK.
Abdulrahman Al-Yahyaei is the CEO of OPAL. He joins with 16 years of diverse professional experience in business marketing, planning, finance, and business development. He has help senior positions in government and across the oil and gas industry. His most recent role was as the Director at Occidental Oil Asia, where he was responsible for marketing operations in the Arab Gulf region. he has a degree in financial accounting from Sultan Qaboos University and an MBA from the University of Strathclyde.
Elena Barreiro Perez has been the Country Director for The Business Year in Oman for three years. She has over 10 years of experience in communications, marketing, and business development for both corporations and media companies. She graduated from ESIC Business School with a master's degree in international business. Whilst in the field, she has established relationships with business leaders and led countless high-profile presentations and interviews with executives, ministers, investors, and other politicians around the world. She has successfully managed projects in France, the Dominican Republic, the UAE, Lebanon, and Oman.
Han Le is The Business Year's Managing Director for the Latam region. During his career in TBY, he has been based in Latin America, Africa and the Middle East. Before joining TBY, he worked in various media outlets in the Middle East and North Africa region.
